Information on Die Off Effect – How Soon, How Long Will it Last, and What to Expect?

This article will address an issue about die off effects, based on a question sent to me from a friend. She has just begun her treatment and diet, and is concerned about the die-off effect. How soon should she expect it, how long will it last, and what to expect? Do you also have similar questions like above? This article will try to answer those issues.

Basically, it depends how good you are on the diet and your meds (medicines). Exercise drink plenty of distilled water (it helps with the symptoms). Having the die off is like having the flu. It depends on how severe you are, it could be a mild case or very severe, but make sure you stay on the program and it will pass!

Another question you may have is what is die-off effect? Die-off, as I understand, it is “feeling ill due to toxins being released by the starving (and thus dying) candida organizms”.

Candida produces some 70+ toxins, including Acetyladehyde, Formaldehyde, and Ammonia. When the yeast/fungus is being killed by an anti-candida diet (esp by the anti-fungal substances) they can release large amounts of these toxins at once. The effect can be quite horrible if you try to go too fast.

Now regarding distilled water, you may have another opinion, that is fine. You can drink filtered water. The Crook book, The Yeast Connection mentions filtered water. However, some doctors will recommend that you drink distilled water.

But still, you probably have been drinking bottled spring water all this time and you want to look into a home water cooler, that is fine. Or, you plan to have a built-in filter which that is what you are going to drink, that is okay too.

I have many friends who also drink filtered water. One of them just drink filtered water, and it seems to be OK. Her filter removes 80% of the chlorine, which is the main thing she was worried about. She has never been told to drink only distilled water, and what you buy bottled as ‘Spring’ water is often tap water anyway.

And how about adding some more illustrations? I don’t want to offend anyone, content is really nice. Just as I’ve heard humans acquire info much more efficient when there are some helpful illustrations.
